Children

Like children everywhere, Cambodian kids enjoy their toys, regardless of whether their family can afford shoes …

… or not …

OK fine, technically a discarded selfie stick is not much of a toy. But I could argue this is a much more enjoyable application than this.  🙂

Of course, just being among centuries-old-ruins can be awesome enough for people of any age …

… even if sometimes you need help to get around:

We also happened to be in Siem Reap for the Water Festival. Boats are always fascinating to the short people …

… with or without splashing around in the river:

Sometimes entertainment is kind of coincidental. This kid’s mother and the family zebu were busy trying to keep the tropical flora in check on a patch of green by the Angkor Wat parking lot:

Mary thought this kid was actually working. She saw him giving tip money to an older woman nearby. However, he did not ask me for a tip after I took his picture even though we clearly made eye contact.
