Wat Pho is a a big Buddhist temple complex in the heart of Bangkok. It seems to be a huge attraction for locals as well as tourists. We visit on a Sunday and happen upon a number of classes for children, from classical dance to traditional instruments.
The two dance classes are separated by age group, both exclusively girls. In the older group we see some adults at the back, both men and women. They are probably not officially in the class because they are not in uniform.

A key dance skill seems to be the ability to curve your hands and fingers in several different directions at once…

…and having just the right pleasant facial expression.

All the students wear the same color scheme and a natty photo ID badge.

The teachers don’t have to wear uniforms. They clearly also enjoy a lot more than just traditional arts.
